About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Facilities and Space Planning to lead the oversight of its physical sciences division. The successful candidate will be responsible for facility operations, equipment inventory, space planning and management, and shipping/receiving dock operations. This role involves managing a team of professional staff, collaborating with departmental leadership, and ensuring the strategic mission of the division is supported. The Executive Director will also be involved in long-term space development initiatives, and space inventory management, and will represent the division in campus master planning. Applicants must have a college or university degree in a related field, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising a diverse range of professionals, managing research laboratories, and overseeing shipping and delivery operations. Strong strategic planning, budget management, and leadership skills are essential. The role requires the ability to understand complex mechanical and support systems, and construction documents, and to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Proficiency with computers and project management software is also necessary.
