POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Liquid Spring Installer, you will take on the critical work of upgrading emergency vehicle suspensions, ensuring reliable, high-quality performance through expert installation. This role requires hands-on mechanical experience—removing old suspension systems, installing advanced liquid springs, and performing precise torque and alignment work. Beyond installation, you’ll be responsible for tasks such as bleeding brakes, using a torch, and conducting essential electrical connections. Ideal candidates bring solid auto mechanic experience, familiarity with suspension systems, and a detail-oriented approach to each stage of installation. As part of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle team, you’ll interact with both internal and external customers, contributing to the production of top-tier emergency response vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remove old springs and install new liquid springs according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform mechanical tasks such as alignment, torque specs, and bleeding brakes.
  • Operate or learn to operate power tools such as drills, torches, torque wrenches, and impacts.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during installation.
  • Read and interpret installation instructions and technical manuals.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Apply quality assurance techniques throughout the installation process.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and cost reduction goals.
  • Understand and apply manufacturing methods and techniques relevant to the task.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain production flow.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chassis Supervisor.

WORKING HOURS:

  • Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-starter with strong work discipline.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and results-driven.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated with a desire for continuous personal and professional development.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience in suspension installation, auto mechanics, and brake system adjustments.
  • Skilled in using tools like torque wrenches, drills, impacts, and torches.
  • Familiarity with vehicle wiring and schematics.
  • Ability to interpret manuals and perform quality checks to meet safety standards.
  • Knowledge of Life Line products is advantageous.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or technical training in a related field, or equivalent experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Must be able to use senses of sight, touch, sound, and smell for inspection and diagnostics.

Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primarily indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and environments with varying temperatures, humidity, and airborne particles.
  • Noise levels are generally moderate but can vary depending on the task.
