We are looking for a highly-analytical senior bookkeeper or certified public accountant (CPA) to join our diverse accounting department.

To succeed in this role, you need to have comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, budgeting, filing processes. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist executive team in providing leadership and guidance to accounting team.
• Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.
• Assess all business transactions and prepare accurate reports on your findings.
• Coordinate with employees on income tax research and planning.
• Work with leadership to conduct periodic audits to guarantee accuracy in financial records, expenses, and savings.
• Uphold accounting principles such as GAAP.
• Lead the team to ensure the organizing and filing of all federal, state, and local income tax documents in collaboration with the corporate CPA.
• Contribute to budgeting procedures.
• Regularly brief management on the company’s financial position and recommend solutions to improve results.
• Work with management team to develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes.
• Ensure you remain up-to-date on industry changes and changes in regulations.
• Respond to tax and accounting-related issues.
• Assist with payroll platform tax auditing and monitoring
• Assist with Inventory management and RnD tax credit projects.
• Willing to problem solve and contribute to the corporate pillars of success and KPIs
• Goal oriented

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years proven experience
• CPA certification is preferred or willing to certify.
• Outstanding tax knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Solid understanding of accounting software such as Quickbooks Online
• Willing to learn inventory management systems such as Great Plains FMM and Fishbowl.
• Willing to contribute to continuous improvements that involve automation and innovation.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Total Compensation negotiable with experience.
