PerkSpot is searching for a Senior HTML Email Developer to join our Creative team! We’re looking for a developer with strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design, capable of taking fully specced designs and translating them into pixel-perfect code. In this role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to advance PerkSpot’s front-end experience by collaborating closely with creative, product, and marketing teams to deliver the very best user experiences. While embedded in the Creative team, you’ll have a strong dotted line to the Engineering team, allowing you to bridge design and development in a highly collaborative environment. You’ll also play a key role in implementing a refresh of our email communications and on-site CMS landing pages. What you’ll accomplish:

• Code, proof, test, and troubleshoot email and CMS HTML templates, both stand-alone and part of recurring campaigns
• Collaborate closely with designers & copywriters to ensure creative, marketing & product initiatives are executed with excellence
• Refresh our email communications and CMS landing pages
• Participate in solutions for complex business and application requirements
• Create new feature sets adhering to the established SDLC, with strong emphasis on Unit Testing and Release Procedures
• Work on troubleshooting and correcting code defects
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate in programming tasks with all engineers

What we’re looking for:

• 8-10 years of experience building email and/or CMS HTML templates
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other advanced technical or science degree, or equivalent work experience
• Coding experience using .NET, HTML, and other HTML development tools
• JavaScript Proficiency – Experience with JavaScript/ES6+ to create dynamic, interactive elements and enhance user experiences, with a solid understanding of modern libraries or frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular)
• CSS/SCSS Expertise – Mastery in styling, including responsive and adaptive design techniques
• HTML Email Best Practices – Knowledge of how to ensure emails render properly across different clients (e.g., Outlook, Gmail) and mobile devices
• Cross-Browser Compatibility – Knowledge of developing for multiple browsers and ensuring consistent behavior
• Accessibility (WCAG Compliance) – Familiarity with accessibility standards and ensuring that all code adheres to WCAG guidelines
• CSS Frameworks (Bootstrap) – Experience with CSS frameworks for speeding up UI development
• Email Campaign Tools – Experience using Sailthru, SendGrid, Mailchimp, Marketo, or similar email campaign tools
• CMS Experience – Experience in CMS preferred: WordPress, Umbraco, or similar CMS tools
• Agile Development – Understanding of Agile processes and a focus on test-driven development
• Version Control Systems (Git) – Experience in using Git or similar version control systems
