The primary function of the Industrial Sales Engineer for our full line card is to perform sales calls within a designated territory by calling on prospective and existing territory accounts as defined by the organization. The Account Manager is tasked with securing and supporting sales and agreements for MRO and OEM products and services representing our full line card in select customers. The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and managing a sales pipeline, and securing business towards the goal of achieving or exceeding annual sales objectives. The Sales Engineer strives to establish strong relationships throughout customer organizations (purchasing managers, maintenance, facilities, Safety, reliability and engineering departments) to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and revenue generation.

you will need to be a hunter who enjoys finding and developing both current and new accounts , a current market presence would also be very beneficial. This position has a very strong emphasis on growing our full offering of products and services. You will be given an assigned list of current customer accounts but would also be expected to call on and develop new customers for growth.
Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of outside sales within a designated territory.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers, including executive-level contacts.
- Set goals and objectives to generate revenue through market development, forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales.
- Expand the existing sales base by consistently performing, building rapport with clients, explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections, and preparing proposals and quotations.
- Provide solutions and become a reliable resource for your customer base.
- Work with Product Specialists, Customer Service teams, and Engineers to exchange information, identify opportunities, and qualify accounts to expand product sales.
- Collaborate with factory representatives to grow revenue of key product lines.
- Regularly learn new products based on key vendor initiatives and identify more value-added opportunities.
- Perform sales calls, product demonstrations, and other developmental activities to increase market share of preferred channel partners.
- Maintain and submit activity reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills: - A technical college degree, plus a minimum of five (5) years' experience in industrial distribution sales or other combined relevant experience.
- Proven technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
- Proven expertise in a minimum of 3 of the following areas: Machine Control, Motion Control, Safety, or Robotics
- Ability to lead, teach, and mentor colleagues in specific areas of product or sales expertise.
- Utilize skills to solve customer problems and assist sales staff.
- Proven achievement in year-over-year sales growth goals.
- A bility to set up own standards of performance and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Proven customer relationship building skills.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Understand written and oral English; proficient with computers, email, spreadsheets, and online document lookup.
- Strong "team attitude" with the ability to work productively in group settings with other associates, customers, and vendors.
- A commitment to the concept of "doing it right the first time".
- Valid Driver's License
- Aptitude to read parts manuals, vendor catalogs, understand blueprints, and communicate technical information effectively.
- Able to work in an industrial and manufacturing environment daily as required.
