To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Job Highlights

• Provides care to patients on assigned nursing unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Essential functions while assisting with a patient specific care plan include answering patient call signals, documenting vital signs, and other patient care activities as directed
• Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes high quality patient experience
• Overnight, weekend, and holiday shift differentials are available.
• Full-time and part-time (16 & 24 hour) schedules.

Pay Rate

$17.00 to $27.32 per hour

Candidate Profile

• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association
• Strong teamwork, communication, and prioritization skills
• Resilient, adaptable, and focused on delivering quality patient care
• Basic computer skills for documenting patient information
• Adequate visual and auditory acuity to assess patients, converse with the care team, and read medical charts.
