We are a woman-owned law firm specializing in family law and child protection, seeking a Part-Time Contract Attorney to assist with court appearances, case preparation, and client advocacy. This role starts at 20–25 hours per week , making it an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for part-time work with flexible hours. For the right candidate, there is potential for this position to grow into a full-time, salaried role as the firm continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Contract Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
• Representing clients in family law and child protection cases, including custody disputes and DCF investigations.
• Preparing clients for hearings, meetings, and legal proceedings.
• Drafting legal documents, such as motions and memorandums.
• Conducting legal research and developing case strategies.
• Attending court hearings and DCF meetings and advocating for clients’ best interests.
• Maintaining regular communication with clients, providing updates and guidance.
• Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
We are looking for an attorney who:
• Is licensed to practice law in Connecticut.
• Has experience in family law or child protection (preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate).
• Demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Has a compassionate approach to working with families and children.
• Can work independently but values collaboration when needed.
