Industrial Electrical Project Manager
Pay: $70k-100k/yr. (depending on experience level)
Description:
- The primary responsibility of the Electrical Project Manager is to estimate and manage jobs to the satisfaction of the customer and profitability of the company.
- The incumbent must have the ability to handle multiple demands, while keeping a positive, results-focused attitude toward customers, other contractors and subcontractors, and company personnel. Provide safe and code compliant directions to the field electrical service team members.
- Examples of projects can include, but not limited to, conduit/ wire installation, service equipment upgrades, power distribution maintenance and testing, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience in the industrial electrical installation, service, contracting or estimating business
- 3-5 years of experience as an industrial electrical project manager involving estimating and project management
- Proficient in blueprint reading with the ability to teach others
- Familiar with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
- Solid time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Valid Driver’s license
- Proficient in CAD and PDF software
Supervisory Duties:
- Communicate expectations to the lead electrician including a developed project turnover that details the scope of work, material, project hours, schedule, subcontractor, and customer expectations
- Provide as needed feedback to electricians and lead electricians about work performance
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Job Duties:
- Leverage knowledge regarding applicable NEC Code, NFPA 70B, and NFPA70E with the team and customer
- Provide both estimating and project management services to the customer
- Review contract requirements, terms & conditions, technical specifications, and project schedules during the estimating and execution phases of a project
- Develop and provide the lead electrician with a project turnover that details the scope of work, material, project hours, schedule, subcontractors, and customer expectations
- Coordinate with the customer to schedule the project, ensuring the customer schedule and expectations are met
- Coordinate with Purchasing for all project materials, identifying long lead items
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through site visits and project communications
- Actively manage the electrical services project backlog from a cost, schedule, manhour, and invoicing perspective
- Adhere to Federal, State and Local Laws
- Other duties as assigned
