Geomagical Labs is an ambitious R&D division of IKEA. Our IKEA Kreativ visual shopping product is a market leader in the retail industry. We're reimagining how tens of millions of customers around the globe shop for home --- using state-of-the-art 3D visualization and spatial AI room scan digital twins of customers' own spaces.
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial software Product Management leader with a proven track record of growing and nurturing revenue-driving consumer applications on both web and mobile platforms.
In this senior product management role, you’ll design & shape product vision (strategies & features), and work closely with cross-functional R&D to design, plan, build, launch, and scale exceptional digital experiences around the globe.
Responsibilities
As a Director of Product Management, you will be expected to:
- Define the product roadmap --- Own the product roadmap for key digital experiences used by tens of millions of customers. Use soft and hard data to accurately understand customer pain points and opportunities. Craft features and solutions that bring successful, intuitive, and magical home retail experiences to our customers.
- Achieve business outcomes --- As a senior business leader, you will knock down walls to achieve business outcomes, be able to set and steer wise business targets, and deliver products predictably & with high quality. You will be insatiably curious, and aim to verify that your product work delivers the expected results.
- Lead wisely, across teams --- Drive high-value product outcomes by steering design, development, AI and platform engineering teams as a wise, facts-driven leader. Lead outcomes by managing through through influence, operational excellence, and motivating teams to a high-level of performance and cohesion.
- Develop & nurture a talented PM team --- You will manage a talented product team, coaching & mentoring them to develop as PMs, and ensuring that their product areas drive the expected business outcomes.
- Manage details --- Seamlessly manage feature backlogs and prioritization, complex project schedules, solve challenges, and ensure timely delivery while balancing priorities and timelines.
- Be in the data --- Be a truth-seeker, leading through facts, not just opinion. To have sufficient ability to answer questions through data, you will need to have hands-on Business Intelligence software skills.
- Understand the market --- Conduct market analysis analysis to inform product strategy, stay competitive, and address emerging consumer trends.
- Communicate strategically --- You will need to have ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at multiple levels of the organization, including the top executive levels of IKEA.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have these attributes:
- MBA (preferred) and bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 6+ years software product management experience
- 2+ years managing other product managers
- A mix of creative, analytical, technical & business chops, with hunger to learn.
- Experience developing consumer web and/or mobile apps in an agile SDLC.
- Focused on results --- Experience driving delivery, revenue, business outcomes, and customer success through determined product execution.
- Highly analytical --- A track record of data-driven decision making. and very strong Business Intelligence software skills. Functional SQL skills are a plus.
- Reliable operator --- Reliable operator, with "fire-and-forget" follow through.
- Emotionally intelligent leader --- Able to bring the best out of teams, and collaborate effectively at all levels within the company and partner organizations. Know how to speak strategically to get the right workforce outcomes.
- Effective & persuasive communicator --- Able to distill key ideas, drive positive consensus, and influence engineers, creatives, senior executives, and customers, through clear & compelling written & verbal communication.
- BONUS: Experience in retail e-commerce businesses.
- BONUS: Knowledge or direct experience of the home furnishing market.
- BONUS: Experience in 3D graphics, AR, visual AI, or virtual reality.
