Job Description

Our customer, an environmental services company , is seeking a Commercial Contracts Attorney to join their team.

Duration: 3 months (40 hours per week)

Location: Onsite, Hoffman Estates, IL (You will be allowed 2 days' work from home per month)

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• 3–7 years of experience focused on commercial contracts, preferably in a corporate in-house legal department or law firm.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and third-party agreements.
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, including redlining , version control, and final execution.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standard contract templates and playbooks.
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and risk management.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Provide legal guidance on contractual risks, obligations, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, procurement, finance, product) to ensure contracts align with business goals and policies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
