About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to lead the strategic and innovative communication efforts that will enhance the brand and reputation of the organization. The CCO will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication and content strategies that align with the company's mission and goals, including reputation management, advocacy campaigns, and member communications. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive communication excellence and innovation, manage the communication portfolio, and collaborate with the executive team to shape the strategic direction of the organization. The CCO will also oversee the integrated marketing teams, direct marketing campaigns, and ensure that all communication activities support the company's programming and mission. Candidates for the CCO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree strongly desired, and at least 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles in public relations, corporate communications, and marketing. Experience in political campaigns, government, or public affairs is essential, as is a strong network of media relationships. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams, as well as the ability to provide strategic counsel on media relations, crisis management, and regulatory initiatives. The role demands a leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, who can ensure a consistent and impactful presence for the organization in its target markets.
