About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) to join their team. The CCMO will be responsible for designing, building, and executing a comprehensive organizational communications strategy that is impactful and resonates with a diverse range of audiences. This includes developing and leading brand marketing and campaign strategies, as well as building and managing a world-class communications team. The successful candidate will work closely with the President and senior leadership to define a unique, changemaking campaign strategy in the climate change space and will be expected to lead global media efforts to secure high-impact coverage. Key attributes for success include the ability to thrive in a high-tempo, mission-driven environment, a strong mentality of service to the field effort, and a low-drama, good-humored approach to work. The role demands a professional with over 20 years' of experience in communications and marketing, including at least 5 years' in a senior/executive leadership position, and a proven track record of driving change through effective communication. Applicants for the CCMO position at the company should be passionate about advancing equitable and transformative solutions to the climate crisis. The role requires a leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of scaling the function from design to maturity, and who is humble, open to differing views, and intellectually curious. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of contacts across influential sectors and a deep understanding of how to translate grassroots efforts into global media campaigns.
