Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of property management, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents. This role requires proficiency in various property management software and a solid grasp of Fair Housing regulations. The Housing Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that our housing operations run smoothly while fostering a positive living environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of housing facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Oversee property leasing activities, including tenant screening, lease agreements, and move-in/move-out processes.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and management using software such as CMMS, OneSite, or Yardi.
  • Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and implement best practices in conflict management.
  • Address resident concerns and conflicts promptly and professionally to maintain a harmonious community atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of properties.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support related to legal matters concerning housing policies and tenant relations.
  • Prepare reports on occupancy rates, maintenance issues, and other relevant metrics for upper management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with property management software such as CMMS, OneSite, or Yardi is highly desirable.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative processes.
  • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Experience in property leasing processes is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in office software applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service to residents.
