For lovers of bluegrass music in a beautiful mountain setting, the Pemi Valley Bluegrass Festival in Campton, New Hampshire August 4-7, 2011 is quickly approaching.
Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper perform on Friday and New York’s own Gibson Brothers on Saturday. Bands are mostly from the northeast, with one coming from south of the Mason-Dixon line: Virginia’s Nothin’ Fancy. My duo, the Manhattan Valley Ramblers, plays on Saturday.
Your drive from New York City will be about six hours but may just be the most beautiful trip in a car you take all summer. Visit the festival website for details on the bands, activities for the family, Kids’ Academy, location and more. If you are looking for more information on hotel and motel options, please email me.
